I-tal Village

About us

Davide Suppo

Born in Italy in 1970, soon gets tired of the life in a industrial town like Torino. Having spend a lot of time thinking about the Caribbean while doing many different jobs under a grey sky (still life photographer, antique furnitures restorer, d.j. for a free radio ..), finally decides to try to make his dream become true ..
Arrived in Jamaica in 1994 as a visitor, he came back in 1995 to live.
Here he funded de Smile Aringe Ltd. to build the I-tal Village, that have opened in March 1998.
Lately he discovered computers and the Internet ... and we think we are loosing him in cyberspace ...

Nico
Nicola Scaglia

Born in Milan in 1978 he grew near Bergamo.
He inherited from his father the love for music and, terminated the studies, in the Bergamo's industrial area, spent his days (and nights) between work and music, influenced everyday more from a far caribbean island ...
In '97 he visited Jamaica for the first time and fell in love with the hot tropical's sun.
He came back in 2002 for 3 weeks and again after 11 months, to work for 3 months in a restaurant bar on Long Bay beach.
One and a half month in Italy was enough, taken up his things and his instruments, he made Jamaica his destination...

Kaspar Deecke

His story begins 1969 in the american sector of West Berlin and takes a turn when he discovers east Jamaica in 1989.
Deciding to exchange the rush of the city with the lazy life of the tropics he moved to Portland in 1994.
Since then he has been trying to avoid work as much as possible (not always successful!!!) and therefore found a soul mate in a dreaded Italian who he shares a good amount of time with ... trying to convince visitors too of their philosophy.
